    Railroad magnate James J. Hill's dazzling Gilded Age-era mansion could have come straight out of the pages of The Great Gatsby. View this impressive estate in all its holiday glory during Holidays on the Hill. Completed in 1891, the 36,500-square-foot mansion came in at a total cost of just under $1 million, making it the largest and most expensive home in the state at the time. Holidays on the Hill includes a one-hour guided tour featuring stories of holiday memories from the Hill family and staff.     They may not reach Clark Griswold-type levels, but many of the more creative and eye-catching holiday light displays are done by local homeowners. Hop aboard Gray Line's Holiday Lights Tour, departing just minutes from Bloomington homes for sale, for a 2.5-hour excursion showcasing top displays by residents and merchants. A live tour guide is on board to offer fascinating background information about the neighborhoods and local holiday traditions.
